A gospel duo that just won Grammys for the best Gospel performance, "Mary Mary," openly expressed support for California's Proposition 8, which amended California's Constitution to reaffirm traditional marriage.  Their open support for the controversial ballot measure flies in the face of increasing intimidation and harassment of Proposition 8 supporters.

 

"Mary Mary" is known for songs like "Shackles (Praise You)" (click here for video) which -- though not theologically deep -- does seem to capture their freedom of expression:

You broke the chains now so I can lift my hands
