| Great Victory For Christian Nurse Suspended For Offering To Pray For A Patient |

Christian News: Persecution
There is a happy ending for poor Nurse Petrie (anyone wonder why she didn't become a microbiologist with a name like that?)
The "controversial" nurse that was suspended without pay for the terrible crime of -- gulp -- offering to pray for her patients has now been reinstated by her employer.
It gets even better: Her employer also acknowledged that she had been acting in the "best interests of her patients" and that its nurses do not have to "set aside their faith" to provide high quality care, but can remain "commited to their beliefs" while practicing medicine. Her employer even acknowledged that prayer is recognized as an "integral part of the healing process" for some.
Future patients under the care of Nurse Petrie should beware, however: She has no intention of stopping her controversial practice: "If I am nursing, I would offer prayer to somebody and I am not going to change." Good for her!
Let's all hope we can have someone like Nurse Petrie helping us if we are sick; she brings incredible courage and commitment to her noble profession, and when she works she seems to bring that special indefinable something other nurses don't have....I'm just not sure what it is but....oh yes, of course: prayer!
