| Jesus Film: 9,018,540 Decisions For Christ |
Missions News: Outreach   9,018,540 decisions for Christ have been made as a result of the Jesus Film, a 1979 motion picture about the life of Christ that has become an enormously successful evangelistic tool.  In total, more than 50 million people have seen the Jesus Film as part of an evangelistic outreach, resulting in 18,000 new churches and 14,000 new pastors worldwide.  If these staggering numbers are hard to grasp, consider the countless stories of individual missionaries that have risked life and limb to set up a small screen and projector in a village to show this film in some of the most dangerous and remote parts of the world.  In fact, just a few weeks ago in India, a drunken mob cursed and threw rocks at a community hall where several young women were preparing to show the Jesus Film. The leader of the mob entered the building and attempted to knock down the film projector. There were so much disturbance that the missionaries were forced to cancel the show. Undaunted, however, the ladies returned the next evening, and although the mob also returned and continued to mock them and throw rocks, the show went on, 90 villagers watched the film, and several accepted Christ as their savior!  Today, the "show" continues to go on -- there are currently 360 missionary teams around the globe sharing the Gospel using the Jesus Film, many of them in dangerous places resistant to the Gospel. Let's pray for their safety, and that God would continue to use the Jesus Film!  Read More: Links Ministry Reports 9M Decisions For Christ Since Historic Jesus Film Partnership ______________________________________________________________________________ The International Faith Telegraph  |
